This is just another spam email

If you have not found out that already. This email from garry_williams888@myway.com below is just another way to spam you.

They try to use a Swedish website as reference to trick you.
"Your email was forwarded by www.expedia.se at our request"
This is just fool play.
"donotsubscribe@myway.com" Sure this will work. Not.

Hello Dear Friend,

My name is Garry Williams, I am an artist with my wife Pia Wahlenberg and we are the owners of DaPia Art Gallerie and We live in Sweden, europe. I make original Sculptural Paintings and sell Limited Edition Prints. I create artwork that combines sculpture and painting using sheets of wood, metal, and glass to create depth.

I have sold in galleries and to private collectors from all around the world. I am always facing serious difficulties when it comes to selling my art works to my U.S and Canadian customers as they are always offering to pay with cheques and money orders, which is difficult for me to cash here in Sweden. It takes a minimum of four weeks to clear our banks here in Sweden as they are been treated as out of country cheques.

We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy representative in the States who will be working for me as a part time worker and I will be willing to pay 10% for every transaction, which wouldn't affect your present state of work. I need a representative in the United States who will be handling the payment aspect.

All the payments are in certified cheques or money orders and my customers will issue them (payments) in your name and send to you. So all you need do is to take the cheques to your bank and cash them, then deduct your 10% and wire the balance back to us in Sweden. This business will not cost you any amount of money, my customers will send payments to you through registered mail as soon as you receive the package just take these payments to your bank and have them cashed.

The following will be required of you once you show interest to work for me:

1. Your full name

2. Your complete address

3. Occupation

4. Age

5. Sex

6. Telephone number

We are grateful for your attention. Your email was forwarded by www.expedia.se at our request, because you or somebody else has subscribed for the delivery of the job offers on the Internet.

IF INTERESTED, PLEASE REPLY TO: williams.garry8@gmail.com

We wish you good luck and happiness.

Friendly Regards,

Garry Williams.

List of non vegan colors and dyes

BETA CAROTENE: Provitamin A. Carotene. Found in many animal tissues an in all plants. Used as a coloring in cosmetics and in the manufacture of Vitamin A. Question is if it really has animal source in any cases?

CARMINE: Cochineal. Carminic Acid. E120. Red pigment from the crushed female cochineal insect. Reportedly 70,000 beetles may be killed to produce one pound of this red dye. Used in cosmetics, shampoos, red apple sauce and other foods. May cause allergic reactions. Alternatives: beet juice, no known toxicity (used in powders, rouges, shampoos); alkanet root, from the root of an herblike tree, no known toxicity (used as a red dye for inks, wines, lip balms, etc. and can be combined to make a copper or blue coloring). Natural Red 4 (Red#4) also known as crimson lake, carmine, carminic acid, or cochineal. The dye is made from an insect called the cochineal, which lives on cacti in Mexico and South America, and is neither vegetarian, kosher, nor halal.

SILK POWDER: Obtained from the secretion of the silkworm. Used as a coloring agent in face powders, soaps, etc. Causes severe allergic reactions; systemic reactions if inhaled or ingested.

Some color that might have animal source:
E101 (B): Riboflavin, Vitamin B2
E101a (B): Riboflavin-5-Phosphate
E104 (B): Quinoline Yellow
E150a (B): plain caramel. It is manufactured by heating carbohydrates with or without acids or alkalis
E150b (B): caustic caramel. It is produced like E150a, but in the presence of sulfite compounds
E150c (B): ammonia caramel. It is produced like E150a, but in the presence of ammonium compounds
E150d (B): sulfite ammonia caramel. It is produced like E150a, but with both sulfite and ammonium compounds
E153 (B): Carbon Black, Vegetable Carbon
E160a (B): Alpha-carotene, Beta-carotene, Gamma-carotene. Can be made synthetically, but usually extracted from carrots. Gelatine may be used as a stabiliser
E170 (B): Calcium Carbonate, Chalk

Some artificial colors are made with animal ingredients. But I have not found any information on what colors that would be.

More non vegan ingredients can be found here.

A website with everything about food colors is found here.

Vegan Society has more information as well with Animal-Derived Possibly Animal-Derived Additives and more.

Old Fashioned Candy Drops

I found Old Fashioned Candy Drops on the store and purchased a bag and I got some kind of reaction to it. I felt stressed, hyperactive, it felt like itching inside my body and wonder what it could be.

It was the Licorice one I purchased.

The colors/dyes in the product are:
FD&C blue #1 lake (Brilliant Blue) (E133) more info
red #40 lake
(FD&C Red #40) http://www.hacsg.org.uk(Red Dye #40) more info
caramel color yellow #6 lake (FD&C Yellow #6) (Sunset Yellow FCF)

It seems like I'm allergic, sensitive or hypersensitive to some or all of the colors. Just as warned by for example http://www.hacsg.org.uk
Looking further these colors are also labeled AZO colors (
E 102, E 110, E 122, E 123, E 124, E 128, E 129, E 151, E 154, E 155, E 180) and having for example asthma you should try to stay away from them.
The Lemon one contained the color
FD&C Yellow #5 (E 102 tartrazin)

From what I understand the ingredients are ok for a vegans but for me it was a bad idea. Never eating them again, that's for sure.

After some research I found that they are manufactured by King Leo. Hard to find.
http://www.kingleocandy.com
I wonder why the Old Fashioned Candy Drops are not on their website though.
Calling them helped me to got confirm what the ingredients where.

Th drops are in a 6oz. bag of Old Fashioned Assorted Fruit Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Cherry Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Cinnamon Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Horehound Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Lemon Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Licorice Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Root Beer Candy Drops, or Old Fashioned Watermelon Candy Drops.

SkypeOut and caller identification

Is it possible to restrict so that when you use SkypeOut not your skype name shows up?

Unfortunately not. I really wish it was possible to select if you want that to happen or not. Sometimes you want the privacy to not have your number show up as caller id.

The only thing that can be done is if you have SkypeIn. Then you can make a setting so that the SkypeIn number shows up instead of your Skype name. But it sometimes might show up and sometimes not.
