Aveeno is NOT a vegan product.

Aveeno is just a brand of Johnson & Johnson products, and J&J is well known for testing its products on animals.

FYI, some other J&J products include Clean & Clear, Listerine, Lubriderm, Neutrogena,Rembrandt, and ROC.

Also, as a general rule, if it doesn't say "cruelty free" or "not tested on animals" on the back of the packaging, it's a safe bet that it is tested on animals, and you shouldn't buy it or use it until you confirm that it is cruelty free.
T vegan product.

Thanks for sharing. Some Vegans don't care too much on the testing of products on animals while others really care. The important thing is to make a conscious decision that is based on facts.

Personally I prefer that it's purely vegan but can if there is little choice accept that it might have been or have been tested on animals as long as the product does not contain animal products or byproducts.

WoW. I was unaware that Aveeno would contain animal products. I've already thrown away my Aveeno stuff and began to let people know. So sad.

thanks for this post! pity that aveeno will no longer be in my life, but being cruelty-free is far more important. will let friends know as well.

Yes I am equally shocked, and refuse to support the company since learning this...too bad though, lots of good products :(

A vegan does not use products tested on animals. End of story.

I bought some products of Aveeno, and just now I saw its from J&J so I know is NOT cruelty free.I will not buy anymore nothing from this company.Animals are suffering for these products. So sad!It has other way to test cosmetic products!

I will be giving away my Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion to a non-vegan friend, and will no longer buy Aveeno products. It really upsets me that we continue to test beauty products on animals. What on earth are these manufacturers thinking? What I do appreciate, however, is their honest reply.

I have used Aveeno products for years, well no longer after reading this. I will now double check before buying anything to make sure it is not Johnson n Johnson as well. Stop testing on animals and use the many alternatives to animal products. simple. as. that.

Aveeno products are great, but stopped buying them last year after I found out that they still tested on animals. After a long search I did find products that are almost as good, but worth it because cruelty is not part of my life anymore.

Yes, if you don't want violence to animals in your life then avoid Aveeno and Johnson & Johnson products. If it doesn't have the leaping bunny logo then it is tested on animals furthering violence to animals. See leapingbunny.org.

Btw I'm not sure why ppl think aveeno is a natural or beneficial product for the skin... Ppl do your research, mineral oil is horrible for your skin, and trust me I've research many of the other ingredients and you should too. Can't trust cosmetic company's word, you have to do your research... There are no set laws or regulations in place for these products, thanks to the U.S. government turning the other cheek.

What a strange thing to say:" Some vegans don't care too much on the testing of products in animals....."
Are you kidding!?? That's part of what being vegan is! Do no harm. Testing on animals is NEVER vegan.

Exactly. 👍

You're not vegan then. You clearly don't give a crap about animals. There are literally hundreds of vegan products that you could use. Do some research and stop big so ignorant and selfish.

Actually, some people are vegan just for the health benefits, I believe. That does not mean they care whether it's tested on animals or not.

Um, aren't some people vegan because they think it's healthier, and not because thwy care about the beings on animals?
