Thank you for writing requesting information regarding our a Wrigley product.  We appreciate your interest in our company and our products.
In answer to your question, the vast majority of Wrigley products sold in Canada are free from ingredients of animal origin, including egg and dairy products.  Glycerin is the most common ingredient in our gum products.  Glycerin can come from animal, vegetable or synthetic sources.  The glycerin we use comes from vegetable sources only.
At present, the only exceptions are Extra® Polar IceTM, Altoids® mints, Juicy Fruit Twisted Green, Lifesavers Gummies, Excel Cool Blast mints and Lifesavers Cremesavers.
Extra® Polar Ice gum contains tiny flavour beads encased in a microscopic layer of gelatin, which is animal based.  This brand is not to be confused with Excel ® Polar Ice, which does not contain gelatin.  Juicy Fruit Twisted Green gum uses shellac (also known as Confectioner's Glaze) as a coating agent.
In addition, the different varieties of our ALTOIDS® mints, Lifesavers Gummies and Excel Cool Blast (liquid-filled) mints do contain very small quantities of gelatin which is derived from pork.  Gelatin does not impart any flavor to ALTOIDS, but it's a necessary ingredient for the texture of the mints.  When we use gelatin it is thoroughly purified and dried during its manufacturing process.  Lifesavers Cremesavers brands use dairy products.
Our staff is continually looking at alternatives to animal gelatin, but at the moment we've not been able to find a substitute that produces the same quality consumers expect of our products.
Another common question concerns whether glycerin or sugar alcohols are true alcohols or not.  Glycerin is an alcohol but this type of alcohol is a natural byproduct of most plants, fruits and vegetables or it sometimes has a synthetic source.  Sugar alcohols refers to the group of ingredients that are artificial sweeteners.  We would like to point out that these alcohols are NOT the same as the ethyl alcohol found in alcoholic beverages.

Nestlé Big Turk is ok for vegetarians that accepts milk

These ingredients are not listed. The Big Turk bar is coloured with red dyes, Red #2 and Red #3.

According to Nestle Consumer Response Representative.

The rest of the ingredients are:

Sugar, Glucose, Corn Starch, Milk Ingredients, Cocoa Butter, Chocolate, Citric Acid, Artificial Flavors (Contain Tartrazine), Soya Lecithin, Color, Salt.

Notice Tartrazine that can be good to stay away from though.

There are listed Cloetta Fazer products  also  the products, which we represent in Finland (Wrigley´s chewing gums). I was wondering about the red color in Big Turk and now I know it's not from animal source.

Old Fashioned Candy Drops

I found Old Fashioned Candy Drops on the store and purchased a bag and I got some kind of reaction to it. I felt stressed, hyperactive, it felt like itching inside my body and wonder what it could be.

It was the Licorice one I purchased.

The colors/dyes in the product are:
FD&C blue #1 lake (Brilliant Blue) (E133) more info
red #40 lake (FD&C Red #40) http://www.hacsg.org.uk(Red Dye #40) more info
caramel color yellow #6 lake (FD&C Yellow #6) (Sunset Yellow FCF)

It seems like I'm allergic, sensitive or hypersensitive to some or all of the colors. Just as warned by for example http://www.hacsg.org.uk
Looking further these colors are also labeled AZO colors (E 102, E 110, E 122, E 123, E 124, E 128, E 129, E 151, E 154, E 155, E 180) and having for example asthma you should try to stay away from them.
The Lemon one contained the color FD&C Yellow #5 (E 102 tartrazin)

From what I understand the ingredients are ok for a vegans but for me it was a bad idea. Never eating them again, that's for sure.

After some research I found that they are manufactured by King Leo. Hard to find.

I wonder why the Old Fashioned Candy Drops are not on their website though.
Calling them helped me to got confirm what the ingredients where.

Th drops are in a 6oz. bag of Old Fashioned Assorted Fruit Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Cherry Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Cinnamon Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Horehound Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Lemon Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Licorice Candy Drops, Old Fashioned Root Beer Candy Drops, or Old Fashioned Watermelon Candy Drops.
